Processing Facilities
Ral Ral Creek Wines offers state-of-the-art wine production processes from primary ferment to storage (small to large volumes) all the way to preparation for transport and exportation.
Our team have experience with processing, crushing, fermentation, blending and for contract processing of red and white varietals. Our complete processing faciity includes filtration, storage, bag presses, wine blending, rotary vacuum filter (RVF), cross flow, centrifuge, earth filters, cold stabilising, tube in tube heat exchangers, tanker and container loading
- Weighbridge
Our weighbridge has the capacity to weigh a fully loaded semi-trailer and is fully inspected and calibrated annually. The weighbridge is fitted with a catwalk which provides easy inspection and sampling access for each and every load of fruit received.
- Fruit Receival
The receival bin is large enough to hold a 25 tonne load, with the option of using side tip bins or semi-trailer tippers.
- Crushing
Our crushing capacity is up o 100 tonne per hour with a CME destemmer which has the option of leaving the rollers out for gentler processing and the option of taking off complete free-run juice portions if needed.
- Red Fermentation
Our red fermentation area gives us the flexibility to ferment in 30, 60 and 100 tonne parcels, with complete temperature control and pulse air pump overs.
- Pressing
Our pressing area consists of 2 x 120 tonne air bag presses, ensuring gentle pressing without compromising extraction rates. Our juice holding tubs give us the option of both oxidative and reductive handling options.
- Centrifuge
We have a 617 model centrifuge on site providing capacity for most operations to be achieved in a single pass.
- Lees Handling
We have a small RV filter for Lees filtration to ensure that losses are kept to a minimum.
- Cross Flow Filtration
We have a Pall cross flow filter for final filtration prior to domestic or export loading into membranes for container filling.
- Export Loading
Our export loading area consists of pre-filters, sterile membrane filtration and calibrated flow meters, ensuring the product is loaded in the safest possible manner.
Bulk loading for domestic transport or export
We offer a loading service either into domestic tankers or export loading into Flexi Bladders or ISO Containers, either through depth media or Membrane filtration if required.
Our team have experience in preparing bulk wine for export including all approvals and licences.
